PHCA Observes National Overdose Awareness Day 2021

North America continues to experience the highest drug-related mortality rate in the world, accounting for one in four drug-related deaths globally, according to United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime reports. In August 2021, the Centers for Disease Control has estimated that the number of people in the USA who had died from overdose in the 12-month period to the end of January 2021 was 94,134. Now more than ever the work that our PHCA team does every day is vital to the communities and clients we serve.
