Michael Dwyer is the Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at JAKKS Pacific, Inc., American’s third largest publicly traded toy company.
Michael began his career serving as an active duty Captain in the U.S Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps in the positions of Prosecutor, Defense Counsel and Chief of legal Assistance.
After his service in the Army, Michael worked as an employment lawyer with O’Melveny & Myers, as Vice President & General Counsel for Alleco Ltd., an environmental services agency.
Later in his career, he worked as Senior Attorney at NMB (USE) Inc., a global manufacturer of electromechanical components. He also served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Falcon Waterfree Technologies and Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Malibu Discovery, LLC, a touring company.
Michael has served a the President and Director Emeritus of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Southern California Chapter, and Vice-Chair of Strategic Planning and Administration for the Los Angeles Committee of Foreign Relations. In addition, he served on the Board of Customer Advisors of Thomson-West Publishing Corporation and the Board of Advisors of Pepperdine University School of Law and Jeffrey Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and Law.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law.
