Peter Steckelman

Peter Steckelman is senior vice president of business and legal affairs at the Tennis Channel, a television-based multiplatform destination dedicated to both professional tennis and the tennis lifestyle. In this role, he oversees tournament rights licensing, affiliate distribution, original programming, production, intellectual property, marketing, promotion, branding, and social media initiatives.
Before joining the Tennis Channel, Mr. Steckelman held senior legal positions at several major entertainment companies, including Konami Digital Entertainment, Warner Bros., Mattel, and Fox Entertainment Group. Throughout his career, he has focused on interactive media, television, film, and consumer products across multiple platforms, marketing initiatives, and branding. His work has included business transactions, licensing, litigation, and strategic partnerships that have helped shape the entertainment and sports industries.
Mr. Steckelman is actively involved with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), where he serves in various leadership roles. Recognized for his contributions to the legal community, he frequently speaks on intellectual property, distribution, marketing, licensing, litigation, sweepstakes, and publicity law. His speaking engagements include appearances at the American Bar Association, Sport and Entertainment Law Forum, World Intellectual Property Review, Los Angeles County Bar Association, UC Berkeley School of Law, New York Law School, the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel, and the Billboard Film and Television Music Conference.
He earned a Juris Doctor from New York Law School and a bachelor’s degree in arts from Rutgers University. As a respected legal and business affairs executive, Mr. Steckelman brings invaluable expertise in corporate governance, media strategy, and legal compliance to Phoenix House California’s board, supporting the organization’s mission and long-term strategic initiatives.
