Hayko Aldzhikyan

Hayko Aldzhikyan is President of ServiceMaster by C2C, a disaster restoration services company. He has served in this role since 2010. Prior to ServiceMaster, he formed Coast to Coast Restoration, an independent restoration and reconstruction business.

Brad de Koning is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Mercury Partners, LLC, an investment company focused on acquiring and operating founder-owned businesses. He is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DirectMed Parts & Service, LLC, a company his firm acquired in 2017.

Michael Kraus is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Expak Logistics, a national provider of routed distribution, warehousing, and fulfillment services. Expak Logistics provides supply chain services to numerous Fortune 1000 clients across a broad range of industries, including pharmaceutical, auto parts, financial services, government, and consumer products.
John-Paul Motley

John-Paul is partner-in-charge of Cooley’s Los Angeles office and a member of the public companies group. His practice focuses on advising public and private companies and their boards of directors on a wide range of transactional and corporate governance matters. John-Paul represents clients in debt and equity capital markets transactions, ranging from IPOs and secondary offerings to high-yield, convertible and investment grade debt issuances. In addition, John-Paul advises public company clients on Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and disclosure issues and compliance matters, and he regularly acts as the outside corporate counsel for his clients.
Mary R. Hale, MS, CHC

Mary Hale currently serves as Senior Program Associate with the Center for Children and Family Futures (CCFF), which operates the National Center for Substance Abuse and Child Welfare. In this role she is responsible for providing technical assistance, expertise, and support on collaborative practice, capacity building, continuous quality improvement and assurance. She helps sites with implementation of trauma informed evidence and research-based practices and policies to sites providing services to children and families with substance use disorders, child welfare and family court involvement throughout the United States.
Eric Samuels

Eric Samuels is Treasurer and Senior Vice President of corporate finance for Prospect Medical Holdings, a healthcare services company comprising hospitals and affiliated medical groups. Prior to his current role, Eric was the Chief Operating Officer of Prospect Integrated Behavioral Health, a provider of a full continuum of behavioral services (Detox / SUD, Adult, Geriatric, CAD, High Acuity, Dual, LTBH, PES, CSU, IOP and OP) in 6 states consisting of more than 750 beds. Eric taps his 25 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, finance and behavioral health to manage a gamut of healthcare related functions and services.

Peter Steckelman is senior vice president of business and legal affairs for Tennis Channel, a television-based multimedia destination dedicated to both the professional sport and tennis lifestyle. He leads and executes the channel’s initiatives in tournament rights licensing, affiliate distribution, original programming, production, library exploitation as well as marketing, promotion, branding, and social media campaigns.

Valeria Rico is the Chief Executive Officer of Confie, the largest and fastest growing personal lines insurance distributor in the United States. The company sells personal insurance to customers across 50 states through a network of approximately 2,500 licensed insurance agents, over 700 retail branches, 8 regional contact centers and 5 general agencies. She was elected to the Phoenix House California Board in 2011.

Jeff Seabold is Vice Chairman of the Capital Corps, LLC, a Community Development Financial Institution. He is an accomplished entrepreneur and senior executive with 28 years of experience in corporate strategy development, sales, business development, operations management, executive leadership, brand development, and management.
Alice Gleghorn, Ph.D.

Dr. Gleghorn joined Phoenix House California as the President & CEO in June 2021. As a clinical psychologist, she began her career in HIV prevention research with injection drug users in Baltimore at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. She enjoyed 19.5 years at the San Francisco Department of Public Health prior to becoming Director of the Santa Barbara County of Behavioral Wellness in 2014. At SFDPH she established pioneering harm reduction policies and programs that have been honored as national models for overdose prevention and opiate treatment. Building on her research background, she established and promoted evidence-based practices including: Criminal Justice Diversion, Mental Health /Law Enforcement Crisis Co-Response, Drug Overdose Prevention and Education (DOPE – including Naloxone distribution), Treatment on Demand, Office Based Opiate Treatment (OBOT) program, Mobile Methadone Van, Outpatient Buprenorphine Induction Clinic (OBIC), Integrated Buprenorphine Intervention services, and the integrated Behavioral Health access Center, in both counties, she oversaw the development of multiple supportive housing strategies for behavioral health clients ranging from 5 to 90 units.

Hened Ayala

Hened Ayala joined Phoenix House California in January 2005 and has worked as Controller since 2016. She has more than 20 years of nonprofit experience and is skilled in strategic planning, audits, budgets, general accounting, internal controls, and has years of leadership experience. Prior to joining Phoenix House, Ms. Ayala was with the Girls Scouts for seven years and spent six years in public accounting.
Edgar Carapetian, MBA

Edgar Carapetian joined Phoenix House California as Vice President of Finance in the fall of 2021. He is responsible for the agency’s fiscal leadership, financial reporting, and capital assets. Mr. Carapetian has over 25 years of professional experience in various industries and has served in the nonprofit sector since 2012. He has managed budgets upwards of forty-five million in annual revenues and over fifty million in assets.
