Our Leadership
Maja Trochimczyk, Ph.D.
Senior Director of Planning & Development
Dr. Maja Trochimczyk joined Phoenix House California (PHCA) in 2007 and oversees new business development, strategic planning, and all government grant and contract proposals. She manages the agency’s licensing and certifications with the California Department of Health Care Services, the California Department of Public Health, Drug Medi-Cal, and private insurance credentialing. She also oversees federal and state registrations and produces PHCA’s annual reports.
With a career spanning nearly three decades in fundraising and management, she has held leadership roles at the University of Southern California, Catholic Charities, St. Francis Medical Center, and The Midnight Mission. She has also been a featured speaker at conferences hosted by Los Angeles County SAPC, California DHCS, and other organizations, presenting on Phoenix House programs and substance use disorder services. Dr. Trochimczyk holds a Ph.D. from McGill University and two M.A. degrees from institutions in her native Poland. An active community leader, her volunteer work has been recognized by the City and County of Los Angeles, the California State Senate, the Polish government, and numerous community organizations.
