Victorville Residential Services for Women & Men

Helping women and men build full, healthy lives and pave the way to lasting recovery.

Women

Women receive gender-responsive, trauma-informed treatment in a nurturing environment and learn to live a life free from addiction.

Our services for women offer privacy and are in a separate facility on our campus.

Women often use drugs differently, respond to drugs differently, and may be more susceptible to drug cravings and relapse. They can have issues related to hormones, fertility, pregnancy, and menopause. Women are also more likely than men to suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and eating disorders.

Treatment for substance use disorders in women may progress differently than for men. Even though they may use a substance for a shorter period, their use progresses more quickly from first use to addiction. Withdrawal is also usually more intense for women.

Men

Men learn to improve their emotional communication skills and to cope with issues substance-free.

Men have unique pressures and concerns that contribute to and complicate addiction. And since men process emotional information differently from women, they also have their own ways of negotiating difficult situations. We are committed to providing a safe space so that clients are comfortable in discussing difficult topics both one-on-one and in group settings. Clients also play an active role in developing their individual treatment plans and goals. We also offer specialized programs for clients with co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions.
