Our Leadership 

Hened Ayala

Controller

​Hened Ayala joined Phoenix House California in 2006 and has served as Controller since 2016. She oversees the organization’s financial operations, drawing on more than 20 years of nonprofit financial management and leadership experience. Her expertise includes strategic planning, audits, budgeting, general accounting, and internal controls.

Before joining Phoenix House, she served seven years as Finance and Administration Director for Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and six years in public accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from California State University, Northridge.
