Phoenix Houses of California participated in our first ever Rise Up & Run LA! 5K at Griffith Park on December 2, 2018. We joined seven other non-profits, including Heal the Bay and Skid Row Housing, to raise awareness and funds for our respective organizations. Despite the chilly and windy morning, more than 200 participants bundled-up to run, walk and roll for their charities. Phoenix House participants secured over 100 new donations and our runners placed in every age category.
A very special thanks to all who volunteered, participated, and donated to make our Inaugural 5K incredibly successful! We also thank staff members Brian Cropp, Maja Trochimczyk and Morgan Wallace for raising the most money and securing the most donors! Get your running shoes ready for December 2019!
